First Full Shift

First day of training went well. I start my first full shift today — excited and nervous.

My son turned 16 yesterday. Excited about getting him driving. My mom turned 62 too — same birthday as my boy. We watched him open presents in the morning, grabbed a burger for lunch, hung around the mall for a while, then digested a while longer at home before cake and ice cream.

Four chapters into "The Toughest Indian in the World." Every chapter is a sexual encounter. Here I always thought adventure was surviving in the woods.

I got opencode to write some auto mapping features for tintin++. Now I'm generating maps of some of the more popular MUDs. Opencode is a great coding assistant but really has to do a lot of research when working with non-popular languages. And then insists on testing in a homebrewed python pty environment that hardly ever works. I should probably develop a prompt to help skirt around all the startup knowledge it seems to want. Asking for an alias update makes it read half of mudhalla.

It's been a few days and I want to eventually get into writing more detail, but all I have time and patience for at the moment is small blurbs.
